vom Flughafen Frankfurt nach Mainz:

Züge nach Mainz erreicht man im Bahnhof im Kellergeschoss des Terminal 1. Die Züge Fahren meist auf Gleis 3. Zuschlagfrei sind Regionalbahn, Stadtexpress und S-Bahn (Linie 8). Die Fahrt dauert etwa 30 Minuten. Bitte erst in Mainz Hauptbahnhof aussteigen (und nicht in Mainz-Süd, eine station vor Hauptbahnhof).

vom Hauptbahnhof zur Universität:

Links des Bahnhofvorplatzes ist ein Taxistand, die Busse fahren auf der rechten Seite des Platzes ab. Günstig sind die Linien 54, 55, 58 und 68; das Zugticket ist auch für die Busfahrt gültig. Steigen Sie an der dritten Haltestelle (Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg) aus, überqueren Sie die Fußgängebrücke und folgen der roten Linie auf dem Plan, der durch einen click auf das Bild rechts erscheint.

how to Visit us:

A) AIRPORT TO MAINZ

To take the train at the airport go to the train station in the basement of terminal 1. If you land at terminal 2, please take the shuttle train to go to terminal 1. The trains usually leave from platform 3 and can be Regionalbahn, Stadtexpress, or S8. Mainz is always indicated (but usually not the final destination). The price is ¤3.15. The ticket machines have language buttons. Choose the number '65' for Mainz and press the 'adult' button (top of left column of buttons), then press '1' to choose the route via Ruesselsheim. The machine takes coins and bank notes. If there is a problem, a Service center is next by in which the ticket can be bought at the counter. The trip lasts about 30 min. Get off at Mainz 'Hauptbahnhof' (there is another Station called 'Mainz Südbahnhof' before 'Hauptbahnhof').

B) MAINZ TRAIN STATION TO UNIVERSITY

When leaving the main station turn left to take a taxi or right to take the bus (lines 54, 55, 58 or 68; your ticket from the train ride is still valid). Leave at the 3rd bus stop (immediately after passing below a pedestrian bridge) called 'Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg'. From there cross the street via the pedestrian bridge and follow the path given in the map you access with a click on the image on the right.
