Interested Diploma, PhD-Students and Post-Docs are always welcome to join our group
and work on one of our research projects in the field of :

* Polymer Synthesis
   New polymer architectures by combination of controlled radical ( ATRP, RAFT ), cationic
   and anionic polymerization, for instance, cylindrical brush blockcopolymers. Observation
   of supramolecular structure formation triggered by external stimuli like temperature,
   pH or light.

* Synthetic-biological Hybrid Materials
   New macromonomers or functionalized precursor polymers based on chemical modifi-
   cation of biological macromolecules and supramolecular structure formation.

* Responsive Nanonetworks
   Synthesis of perfect nanonetworks in terms of functionality of the branching units and
   of the polydispersity of the polymers connecting the branching points.

* Gold-Nanorods ( Cooperation with Prof. Sönnichsen )
   Preparation by established techniques and characterization by scattering techniques.


Our projects require interdisciplinary skills and provide a comprehensive insight in
modern research of supramolecular materials, ranging from synthesis to a variety
of characterization techniques, in order to understand and to establish structure-
function relationships.

Students interested in lab courses or HiWi-positions are also welcome.
