Research interest

I have currently finished my Phd about the kinematics of fibrous aggregates. During my Phd I have investigated progressive fibre growth in veins and antitaxial strain fringes using microstructural analysis and computer experiments. For the computer experiments I developed the Computer Model "Fringe Growth" based on the model "Vein Growth" by Bons. I am currently working on physical and numerical experiments to investigate dynamics of fibre growth and vorticity of strain fringes during non-coaxial deformation. My general interest focuses on crystal dissolution and growth processes and on the effect of these on deformation analysis including strain, volume change, and vorticity determination.
