Cultural Diversity and Variety in Ethiopia

The wealth of Ethiopia is the multitude and diversity of its peoples and cultures. This is reflected in a great number of different languages, believe systems (religions) and economic activities.

The religious diversity is just one aspect of the particular nature of Ethiopia. Although most of the Ethiopians are adherents of either the Christian or the Islamic faith there exist a number of other believe systems or so called traditional religions in the country.

But apart from the differences the common features among the peoples of Ethiopia are predominant. Many parts of the culture like the ways of living and thinking, the ways of eating and clothing cross the borders of religion and language. This unity in diversity is an unique and distinct feature of Ethiopian identity.
