Director and Spokesperson of VISTARS is Professor Karl-Ludwig Kratz from the University of Mainz. Himself and his workgroup are in perticular responsible for organizing workshops, lectures and seminars.
Especially young students are involved in the VISTARS activities, for example the last Russbach Workshop was also organized by ph.d student (Thanks Stefan!) and vistars.de is being looked after by two diploma students.
Also GSI Darmstadt is involved into VISTARS and provides the possiblity for young researchers to see the experimental side of Nuclear Astrophysics.
Nevertheless VISTARS is also anxious about involving young researchers in international collaborations or experiments in foreign countries.
