Public transportation

Since the conference venues are all located on JGU campus (except for the reading and the Conference Dinner) and thus are outside the city center we recommend participants to use public transportation.

The Mainzer Verkehrsgesellschaft (Mainz Transport Company) offers a wide range of rates depending on the length of your stay:

3-4 days: The Weekly Pass (Wochenkarte) at €20,60 (Allows you to use public transportation in the whole city of Mainz for up to a week).

1-3 days: The Day Ticket (Tageskarte) at €5,90 (Unrestricted use of public transportation for the whole day).

1 day: Either the Day Ticket (Tageskarte) at €5,90 or Single Ticket (Einzelfahrtkarte) at €2,50.

We estimate that each participant will have to make at least 2 rides a day (from city to campus and from campus to city).
