Federally-funded Projects
Within the framework of their sectoral initiatives, the Federal Government funds basic technologies that promote development in central fields of application and thus work as a growth driver in many business fields. Funding sources include the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Federal Ministry of Economics (BMWi), the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV), the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) and the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ). Funding priority is given to joint research groups bridging scientific institutions and corporations. Individual researchers are supported via special funding programmes.The following federally-funded projects are currently being coordinated at Johannes Gutenberg University:
