Further Projects and Research Structures
The diversity and interdisciplinary nature of the research at the Johannes Gutenberg University is clearly demonstrated by the numerous internal initiatives in which the researchers get involved. This means that beyond the subject-based Research Centers and Research Units, there are further research structures, some formal, some informal, allowing the researchers to work in interdisciplinary manner. These structures include, for example, two interdisciplinary research platforms, a wide-ranging spectrum of interdisciplinary working groups and a number of research associations.
