Promotion of Proposals for EU Projects
Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) regards itself as both a European and international university. JGU regularly occupies the first three positions for its student exchange program as a part of the European Union’s ERASMUS agenda. Also among the members of its research areas, the university attempts to stimulate active participation in the European funding programs, as internationality is an indispensable feature of quality in international competition.
As a rule, European research funding programs require at least three project partners from three European countries; usually, the submitting consortia are significantly larger than this. The effort to prepare and coordinate proposals at a European level is correspondingly high.
When planning an EU collaborative project, applications to this funding line can help finance, for example, preparatory trips. If the coordination of an EU collaborative proposal is performed in Mainz, staff resources can be additionally applied for in order to optimize the prospects of success during the complex and costly proposal procedure. Further funding is available for project meetings in Mainz and surrounding areas or for the editing of proposals.
Finally, the participation of researchers at JGU in the EU review procedures is to be encouraged through a lump sum of € 600. The same applies to regular board activities in the service of the EU (e.g., participation in strategic technology platforms or expert consultation workshops).Your contact:
