Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) is a European as well as an international university and the academic center of Rhineland-Palatinate. Numerous international educational and research projects and a high percentage of students and scholars from around the world testify to that. Due to the continuing internationalization of academic programs and research, the University of Mainz prepares its students for tasks in international contexts.

The university’s commitment to internationalization is based on the Higher Education Act of the Rhineland-Palatinate (§2) and the University’s Mission Statement.
