Other Competitions

In addition to "Innovative Teaching Projects," the Gutenberg Teaching Council (GTC) offers sponsorship for a number of other support measures for JGU teaching staff: The GTC sabbatical semester award allows teaching staff to take leave of absence from their routine tasks in order to devote themselves to further developing their teaching skills. Via external teaching assignment sponsorship, the GTC gives faculty members the opportunity to gain teaching experience at other universities, particularly abroad. In addition, subjects, faculties, the School of Music, and the Academy of Arts can award GTC guest lectureships to invite external scientists or artists with proven teaching expertise to teach at JGU, thus contributing to a national or international exchange of information and experience in the field of teaching.
