The Vice President for Learning and Teaching
Professor Dr. Mechthild Dreyer
Professor Dr. Mechthild Dreyer was appointed Vice President for Studies and Teaching on July 1, 2010.
The Vice President for Studies and Teaching is responsible for all aspects of study and teaching, for continuing academic education, and - in collaboration with the relevant Senate committees - for quality assurance. The areas of responsibility also include mentoring and assistance for women, library-related aspects, cooperation with secondary schools, and support of gifted students.
Teacher training, higher education institute evaluation, and the personnel sector are also part of the Vice President's remit.
Professor Dr. Mechthild Dreyer comes from the Institute of Philosophy of Faculty 05 - Philosophy and Philology. She is a known expert of Philosophy of the Latin Middle Age and its reception.
