Committee on Information Supply and Communication

Duties

• key issues of supplying information
• forming new faculty libraries and dissolving or merging existing faculty libraries
• issuing statements on the impact of modified or new study courses on information requirements
• preparing the Senate's resolution on changes to the library statutes
• preparing the Senate's resolutions on all IT issues of key significance to the university as a whole
• preparing the Senate's resolutions on the development and updating of a comprehensive IT concept for the university
• coordinating the university's IT measures, in particular with regard to issues relating to the university's data network, the use of large-scale data processing equipment belonging to faculties and institutes, central facilities and administration offices
• dealing with key issues of data protection and data security
• overriding aspects of e-learning, in particular in view of the technical and infrastructural conditions for implementing e-learning concepts

 
The Committee is authorized to make decisions.
