Senate Committee on Sponsorship Issues
Duties
- making decisions on awarding scholarships in accordance with the provisions of the Guideline for Scholarship Awards at JGU
- fulfilling tasks of the university's proprietary awards commission pursuant to Section 16 of the Guideline on Scholarship Awards on awarding scholarships to especially talented doctoral candidates in the Rhineland-Palatinate.
- drafting criteria for procedural organization, filing of applications, application deadlines for the awarding of scholarships on the basis of the (university's) guidelines
- drafting resolutions on behalf of the president on the basis of reports prepared by the faculties' representative for equal opportunities regarding the allocation of advancement programs for women such as
- the award for especially qualified female junior scientists and artists
- the State's Junior Professorships for the Advancement of Women (4 positions in all)
- the State's Postdoc positions for the Advancement of Women (2.75 positions in all)
- recommendations are presented by the central representative for equal opportunities.
The Committee is partially authorized to make decisions.
