Ladies and Gentlemen,
dear Colleagues,
as we had announced earlier, staff members of Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz
are now eligible to get a “FirmenCard” (previously know as “Jobticket”).
Pick-up of the Tickets:
Location: Forum 3, room 00-332 (Brigitte Gemmel)
Time: Mondays - Thursdays 08.30 h - 11.30 h, closed on Fridays

Ticket Sale:
- A monthly ticket can be purchased in cash for € 47.50 (please bring the
exact amount).
- An annual ticket can ONLY be purchased via bank transfer of the total amount of € 475.00
(monthly payments are not possible).
You will receive directions for the money transfer after your application has been processed.
Please note: we cannot accept cash payments
In order to apply for an annual ticket you have to fill out and submit the application document
which you can find here.
REMEMBER to bring your passport or another valid form of picture Idto pick up your ticket!
Expiration Date:
· The montly ticket is valid from the day it was issued (e.g. 23 March 2011 – 23 April 2011)
· The annual ticket is valid from the day it was issued (e.g. 23 March 2011 – 23 March 2012)
The FirmenCard is NOT transferrable and is only valid in combination with a valid
passport or picture ID.
Range:
The jobticket is valid for all forms of transportation in the transit area Mainz- Wiesbaden
RMV – Tarifgebiet 65 = RNN WABE 300 (except IC/ICE trains between Mainz and Wiesbaden).
The transit area consists of the towns Mainz and Wiesbaden including the boroughs Walluf,
Wallau, Hochheim, Ginsheim-Gustavsburg, Bischofsheim, Wackernheim and Zornheim.
Second-Traveler-Clause:
The Second-Traveler-Clause only applies to the city lines of MVG and ESWE (lines 1 through 99).
The Second-Traveler Clause entails that one adult and all of your own children up to 14 years or
three children up to 14 years respectively can accompany you for free at these times:
Monday through Friday: from 7 p.m.
Saturday/Sunday/official holidays: all day
Christmas Eve (24 Dec) and New Years Eve (31 Dec): all day Yours sincerely
